EXPERIMENTAL RESEARCH INTO MARBLE CUTTING BY ABRASIVE WATER JET

The article presents research on the erosion of metamorphic rock - marble by Abrasive Water Jet (AWJ). fragmentation abrasive grains during process is demonstrated. effect cutting process's most important parameters as traverse speed, nozzle ID, and mass flow rate, maximum depth, shown. To create a mathematical-statistic model process, methodology response surface (RSM) was used for modeling. polynomial equation second degree chosen developing regression model. Studies have shown optimal to reach highest depth cut. Additionally, wear focusing tube under different conditions presented.
